Last month I began this series with the first post of Ask Lauren, Q & A with Intentional Edit. I’m often receiving the same questions over and over. In an effort to get the most common questions answered I’ll be answering once or twice a month in a blog post just like this one. I try to answer all of your IG messages but I know that if some of you are asking then there are others that want to know the answers but never ask.
What organizing product is your favorite?
I actually have a few products that I use for organizing that I absolutely love. Before sharing them I want to remind your that buying a product to “get yourself organized” doesn’t work. You have to take inventory of what you have and find the best organizational solution for your specific needs. What I recommend for one pantry I may not recommend for another….there are too many variables to consider in each space to have a one size fits all solution. Having said that I have one product that I use all the time. It’s not perfect for every space but because it comes in so many shapes and sizes it works just about everywhere I’ve needed it to. The product is called Our Clear Storage Boxes from The Container Store.
I’ve used these clear containers in closets, pantries, laundry cabinets, bedrooms, bathrooms, garages, offices, craft closets and more. The best part is these are inexpensive and they get the job done.
If you are interested in more organizing products that I recommend hop on over to Instagram and be sure to follow Intentional Edit. I’m sharing one awesome organizing product every week for all of 2019.
What is that label?
Whenever you see inside cabinets or closets in my home you notice the labels. Of course I use a traditional label maker often but the ones you ask about are the black labels with my ugly handwriting on them. I typically use a white paint pen or metallic sharpie depending on the room and what I’m organizing. The black label isn’t anything special. It’s a roll of this. I cut it to the size I need depending on the container I’m labeling.
