Full Episode Transcription (not edited):

Do you ever think about the conversations you have with yourself every single day? What thoughts are playing on? Repeat in your head and going through your mind and keeping you from setting goals, making changes and achieving the things that would make your life better. Mindset matters. In this episode, you will learn about changing the narrative so that you can simplify, find a piece, achieve your goals, and finally live the life that you desire.

(00:27):

Hey moms, welcome to the intentional edit podcast. Do you wanna stop feeling overwhelmed and finally get your home organized. Do you find yourself up late at night, worrying about how you are going to get everything done and not drop the ball? You are wondering where to start and what to do. There is never enough time in the day. The piles of laundry are building up and it’s already time for after school activities, homework, snacks, and carpool. Again, I’m Lauren. I too want an organized, clean home where my family can make long lasting memories and be present in the moment feeling like there is never enough time to complete all the daily tasks is exhausting. So simplicity all around a healthy meal on the table at dinner time, and a family that contributes to the chores really is attainable. Stop telling yourself that you have to do it all, or it will never get done. Or that picky eaters will never allow for a complain free dinner. And this podcast, you will learn exactly how to declutter implement systems and maximize routines that remove the overwhelming unorganized parts of life. Bringing simplicity to your life and home. Come on. It’s time to create a life you love.

(01:35):

Hey friends, thanks for joining me for episode 80 of the intentional edit podcast. I’m happy to have you here. I feel like, or finally back in the groove with all the back to school stuff, getting into the routines last week. On the last episode, episode 78, I had the most amazing conversation from Sarah, with Sarah, from the peace and productivity podcast. It’s all things back to school. We cover so much. In that episode, we talk about routines systems, creating rhythms in your life, how to dial things in so that you can simplify every single day homework habits, meal, planning, eating dinner with your family morning routines, family, meeting time, weekly resets and refresh type of thing. Get that house restocked or the week ahead. So much, goodness is in that episode. And it was a great conversation. If you have not listened to episode 78, go back and listen to that one.

(02:33):

Even if you are not struggling with the whole back to school, getting into the rhythm of things this year, there are so many things that we talk about that are so good. And I know that you will love it. I want to get going, cuz I have a lot of thoughts in my mind about what I’m gonna talk about today. With this whole mindset matters concept. I get emails all the time, direct messages, comments, or simply just like emails, correspondence. And this even comes up in conversations that I have with my friends, family, neighbors, pretty much anyone who is in the thick of mom life. It goes something along the lines of, we feel like we can’t do something or you’re wanting to know how to do something, where to start something along those lines. And then I also get emails with something that you want to do followed up with an excuse.

(03:32):

Like I want my house to be picked up, but I’m not an organized person. Or clutter just runs in my family. I guess my house is always going to be a mess because I have kids. And when they move out one day, maybe I’ll be able to have nice things and organized home. Then I’m receiving things like this and, and people just like you want help. You know that it’s possible to do something better and that your life can be easier. Things can be simpler. You can establish routines and systems in your home to make it function and flow with less effort and have these things just become habit in your home. If you’ve been listening to this podcast for a while and implementing anything that I’m sharing with you, you know, these things are possible. You know that you can have an excess of stuff and cabinets that are overflowing and piles of stuff everywhere.

(04:29):

And if you use the systems that I have put in place for how to purge a purging and decluttering guide or the exact steps I use for how to organize, you will have success with any of this. So going back to these messages that I get and the conversations that I’m having with people about, they want to do something, but they can’t do something. I want you to stop right there. Stop with the excuses. Stop with the negative self talk. You are here listening to this podcast because something isn’t working, there’s too much clutter in your house. You need to learn how to organize. Maybe it’s that you need to learn how to follow systems, to keep things orderly. You wanna have dinner with your family a couple nights a week and not be scrambling to come up with what you’re going to cook. When everyone is hangry and irritable, you’re exhausted and you probably feel overwhelmed with the day to day.

(05:26):

You need help figuring out what chores your kids can do to help with the upkeep and only have those chores be a few minutes each day, you need good routines and rhythms to make your life easier. That’s why you’re here. That’s why you’re listening. That’s what you come for. And luckily that’s what I can help you with. Whatever it is. Probably many of these things or at least a few. It’s not just one because they seem to kind of be like a domino and all come together at some points. And sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes you’re really strong in routines and you’ve got your systems dialed in, but you have a lot of stuff and you have too much clutter and you can’t seem to organize the physical stuff. Of course there’s different scenarios. But the overall feeling that I get when I talk to you and I get these messages and we have conversations and I work one on one with clients, you want to slow down, you wanna simplify and make life easier.

(06:26):

I will say those words over and over again. What are the things you can do to make life easier? Because it’s a hundred percent, a thousand percent possible. You want time with your kids and your family, the people that are most important to you. You want this, you’re craving this intentional time with these people and time that you can enjoy. You wanna make memories and have fun. You don’t wanna be grumpy all the time. And I get that and I wanna help you get there. This is all attainable and you are here. So I know you’re looking for actionable steps and how to make a change. And I’m proud of you, good for you for doing that just by listening to the podcast and taking some of the things that I say that apply to you and making those changes in your life. That’s already going to give you more time and more freedom and the ability to, to make memories and be less irritable in all of that.

(07:21):

When we wanna make a change, we have to do, I guess I would say we have to do a little bit of homework because you really have to gather information, seek the resources that are going to direct you in that direction for the change you wanna make. And then you have to make an action plan. That’s realistic to accomplish those goals and follow through with the change. Nothing happens overnight. You have to put in the work, you have to make the plan and put in for the work. So whatever that is, sign up for the course and actually do it log in every single day, follow the steps, buy that book that has the information that you need. And don’t just read it and set it down. Take action on what it’s telling you to do whatever it’s saying. Follow through, convince your friend to be an accountability partner.

(08:11):

Maybe that’s what you need. The accountability piece is missing. Find an accountability partner and check in daily on the progress. Whether it’s good or bad, really use the accountability of another person. If that’s what you need. Book a coaching session with an expert in your area. If you are struggling with something, there is some kind of a coach or mentor that you can work with that will help you with what you’re struggling in. They can help you out of the stuck place and give you the steps you need and the tools you need to move forward. When you spend time and money on yourself, you will get results and it will result in a bigger and better you, a more giving, a better rested version of yourself. That can be a present parent, and you can really start to be intentional with your family and how you live each day.

(09:05):

For the better. A lot of times, moms struggle with the idea of spending money on themselves. They’ll book private lessons for their kids, but they won’t book a personal trainer for themselves. They’ll have coaches for competitive sports and all this extra stuff at very high price points. And they’re okay with doing that. They buy their kids the better clothes, the newest backpack, all these things. And they’re wearing clothes that are 20 years old. You deserve to live the best life possible. And when you are eliminating your life and a better version of yourself, your kids benefit from that. Your family benefits from that. Everyone in your circle benefits from you being the best version of yourself. If that means you hire an accountant to do your taxes, or you work with a personal trainer to be healthy and fit, or you need to work with a nutritionist or dietician to dial in your eating so that you have the proper nutrients to fuel your body, or you work with someone like me, that’s a coach for mentor to get things dialed in in your house, like the routines and systems, the chores for your kids, the things that go on weekly, it’s good.

(10:18):

This is a good thing. Don’t feel guilty about spending money to better yourself to make your life better. The results you get out of that last forever. It’s the gift that keeps on giving you work with the trainer. You pay the trainer, you pay for the workout classes and you learn the skills to do it on your own. And to apply it yourself, maybe five years from now, you need to take more classes or get back in with another trainer or refresh with the old trainer, make some changes as your body changes. And you’re working on different areas and you need different tools to strengthen other areas. And that’s what you do. You find the solutions that work for the problem you’re having. And if the problem is the clutter and the feeling that your house is causing you stress, you can’t relax and unwind.

(11:12):

There. There’s too much stuff. You need a clutter coach. You need someone to do a schedule audit because your calendar’s all over the place. You’re missing things. You’re running late. You feel like you have a million things to do. You can never get it done. Then that’s when you work with someone like me or you take a course or something that is self-paced that you can work through on your own there’s tools out there for every single issue that you could possibly be happen. Having find those, seek those out, get the help you need. And if it costs you a little bit of money, the money that you spend is insignificant to the positive, impactful results that you will get for your entire life. If you are at the stage where you have identified that something isn’t working, something has to change. You wanna better yourself.

(12:03):

You wanna better your life. You wanna have more time, feel better, whatever it is, I’m here for you. I support you. I applaud you for being here and showing up because starting and showing up might be the most difficult part. It’s definitely half the battle. I’m gonna tell you something right now. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to get it right the first time you don’t have to hold it together. Every single second of every day of every week, you don’t have to make excuses and beat yourself up. When things aren’t going the way that you thought they would, or when things are hard, you don’t have to make excuses. If you don’t get it right, the first time, you don’t have to be embarrassed that you tried and failed the first time or even the first five times you are human.

(12:48):

I am human perfection. Doesn’t exist for humans. Stop expecting yourself to be flawless. Your kids are watching you. They’re observing what you do throughout each day. And they’re learning more. When you try something new. When you try something hard, something outta your comfort zone, and you fail with that. You fail before you move on before you move forward. And then you go back and you try again. They are learning so much. They see when things are easy and they see when things are hard and you show and demonstrate perseverance when you’re overwhelmed and frustrated and feel low. And you climb out of that because you work with a trainer or you work with a coach, you take a class and you learn to do things. You don’t have the skills for at that time. They see that perseverance. They see the resilience within you and you are teaching them the skills of really how to survive and this huge world that we live in, you’re also showing them that it is possible to become stronger with every single step back into rise, above as a more, I guess, capable and confident person.

(14:01):

And those are life lessons that are so important. And to see that in action, rather than just talked about is huge. You have the ability to make changes within your life. You do have the ability to keep your house picked up so you can stress less, enjoy more to get those routines and rhythms and sink because you want your days to function and flow with peace and less chaos. You, that chaotic feeling is so stressful and overwhelming. You have the ability to get yourself out the door on time to end of the morning arguments and the tension that can happen when everyone’s irritable in the morning, you have the ability to make it through the day without screaming at someone, to fit in a workout, maybe even to walk the dog. So you can get those endorphins going and have positivity to fuel your day.

(14:56):

You can have quiet time and peacefulness in your home and meals together around the table, filled with laughter and have conversations with each other because your phones are down and the screens are off. Give your family the ability to make these memories that don’t involve a grouchy exhausted mom. That’s always about to blow a gasket. Wait a minute. Okay. Does anyone even say blow a gasket anymore? I don’t. I feel like that’s not normally in my vocabulary and not like just flowed out like normal, but does anyone say that anymore? I don’t know. Okay. Anyway, moving on, we all have something or we have a few things that need to happen because we have changes that we want to make. Even when we’ve accomplished a lot, everyone has some kind of, they desire more or they desire something different or you see examples of something that you want in your life, or that would be good for your life.

(15:55):

That would be healthy to bring into your life. So we wanna bring simplicity to our lives and our homes and get to have the success faster. If you want that success faster, then you have to change your mindset. Mindset is key. Mindset is the key to really being successful with all of this and not holding yourself back from achieving these things. I’ve always been the type of like glass half full person, I guess. Yes, I’m a realist. My like family would tell you, but truly like I’m an observer. I take it all in. Let me do the research. I have to figure everything out, gather all my research from every single side. And then see what conclusion comes from that. I’m a natural problem solver. I’m the type of person where it’s like, get it done, move on, accomplish one thing and go on to the next kind of person.

(16:49):

And this has served me and really tough circumstances in life, in different life situations. I have probably handled a lot different than people that don’t have that kind of problem solve. Get it done. Let’s, let’s move on type of attitude or personality trait, whatever you call that. In the last couple of years, I have been able to learn and really kind of, I guess, go back and see what that attitude or that personality trait of finding the good and having the problem, solving skills and being able to figure out I’ve really been able to kind of zone in on how that served me in different circumstances over many years at the time, I never realized or imagined that that’s why I was able to deal with something or that’s why I was able to move through a situation or not get hung up on something.

(17:44):

And it’s probably today why I enjoy working with you guys and like my one on one clients, because I get to help you change your perspective on whatever you’re struggling with. All these amazing things you do all day. You are probably not acknowledging more often than not. You’re beating yourself up for what you’re not getting done. Instead of acknowledging all of the things that you do do that you do accomplish that you’re responsible for and all the amazing things you’re doing just as a parent and what you’re providing. You’re doing these things every single day, every hour, all week, all month, all year long, I can give you tangible skills to use in your home to move towards the goals of simplicity and peace in your home. Taking those situations like a messy home. You take it from messy to organized from cluttered to simplified.

(18:41):

If you are scattered and all over the place, I can help you get routines and rhythms that allow everyone to unwind everyone to feel relaxed in your home. And it’s a place where you can rest and like fuel up and feel good for the things that you’re doing outside of the home. We want to feel good. We want to enjoy each other’s company. I’ve learned you either stay in the stock or you make the plan and you have to follow through with the changes to get out of it. You have the ability to learn and grow and do no matter how old you are or how many things you’ve already conquered. Imagine saying to yourself, I don’t know what I’m doing yet. I don’t know how to do it, but it’s only a matter of time until I figure it out. That is a growth mindset.

(19:27):

And I’ll say it again, because I think it’s really important. If you are in any situation and you can say to yourself, I don’t know what I’m doing yet. I don’t know how to do it, but it’s only a matter of time until I figure it out. It’s only a matter of time until I do it. Then you’re putting a spin on something that you don’t know how to do. That could be overwhelming and you’re making it a positive thing. You have turned it into a growth mindset. You’re telling yourself, well, no big deal. I don’t know how to do it now, but I will. Pretty soon. I might later today, I might next week. I’m gonna figure this out. And it’s a positive mindset. You’re setting yourself up to know, Hey, no big deal. I’ve totally got this. When you’re in a place of a growth mindset, that’s when you can tackle anything.

(20:17):

It may not be like the perfect situation. It’s probably not gonna be easy. It’s probably not gonna be quick or fast, but you have, let yourself be open minded and willing to try because you’re in that growth mindset. This is how you successfully make changes. This is how you get results in whatever these new things are that you’re trying in tackling recently, I saw this statement and it was something along the lines of it basically said criticizing is easy and fast, but creating is difficult and slow. And if you think about that, so criticizing is easy and fast. It’s easy to be the critic. It’s easy to be the judgemental place and criticize. But if you are the person that is creating and making and developing these things and coming up with what to do or coming up with this creation, that is an incredibly slow, tedious, difficult process.

(21:17):

It’s a lot harder to create, but it is so easy to be the critic. It’s so easy to criticize. Think about the thoughts that play in your mind and that you say to yourself, what are you saying to yourself all day long? Do you beat yourself up and criticize throughout the day? If you’re not loving yourself and build and building yourself up, really? Who is, who is encouraging you, who’s encouraging you and pushing you to do hard things to move forward and to make those positive changes. If it’s not yourself, you’re the only one in your head. If you are speaking negatively to yourself, how are you ever going to make changes? How are you ever going to move forward? How are you going to bring positivity to your life? If you are being judgemental and criticizing and being the negative critique all day long every day, do you wanna be the person that tears down someone else or your even your own hard work?

(22:17):

And do you wanna tear down your accomplishments? I don’t think so. You have two options. You can be the person that tears you down, or you can be the person that’s part of the solution, the solution to grow and build yourself up because you can do hard things. You can do things that don’t come easy to. You think about what we teach our kids and we teach our kids not to talk about people. We teach our kids not to gossip or talk about people behind their back. So why are we doing it to ourselves? Why do you have these negative thoughts? Why are you allowing yourself to keep saying these things to yourself? If you hear you putting yourself down, let’s see a statement. Like I don’t have any sense of style. I always look rough, or my clothes always look terrible. Or maybe it’s like something along the lines of working out.

(23:10):

If you’re like, I’m just not athletic. Working out is not my thing. And you don’t have to say these out loud. These are mostly just thoughts in your head. Sometimes you might say them out loud. If someone compliments you on something, or if you have been going to the gym and someone’s like, oh, you know, I’ve seen you here now a couple times you might say something like, well working. Out’s just not my thing. I’m not athletic. And that’s, you’re dismissing your hard work. You’re not acknowledging that you are doing these things. You are working out. You are putting great outfits together and you look put together when you grow out another example in terms of this podcast and, and all things, home organization and simplifying life. Think about clutter. If you say to yourself, clutter is impossible to deal with. When with all these kids at home will always be an unorganized house.

(24:05):

Then you’re setting yourself up and you’re already providing the excuses to not put the work in and not put any effort in to make a change, a change that makes your life easier. That simplifies, that gives you more minutes to spend time doing the things you want to be doing. That allows you to be more intentional and not have this constant running, to do list and backlog of things in your mind. Things like all of those examples that I just gave you or many things that could be much worse. You might be saying some pretty hateful, terrible things. They could be worse than the examples I gave you much worse. What is stopping them from or stopping you for saying these things? When we’re talking about our kids, going back to that example of, we teach our kids not to talk about people. We teach our kids not to gossip and say hateful things about others.

(25:00):

Why are we saying them to ourselves or saying similar things? Because our kids are gonna start seeing similar things to themselves. And that’s like, oh, like a gut punch. Like you don’t want your kids to be saying these things. When they come across something that’s difficult or that they don’t feel that they’re good at. And if you don’t want them to do it, why are you doing it to yourself? It’s one of those habits. And I talk a lot about, we do things out of routine and out of habits. If they weren’t intentional, they could be unhealthy habits. Negative self talk is a very dangerous, unhealthy habit. If you find fault in yourself, your kids are gonna see that example and find fault in themselves and in others. And I already talked about that. If they see you try to do something difficult or try to do something hard, that’s a positive example.

(25:53):

And you’re leading by example, something that doesn’t come naturally to you. If you’ve taken the opportunity to do the homework, figure out what you need, figure out the actionable steps and make a plan to conquer these things. That’s an example that you are setting to persevere and move forward and find solutions for whatever life throws at you. Now, going back to these examples of the negative self talk in your head, of course, everything, isn’t rainbows and roses, but when you change the way that you talk to yourself, it’s going to get us in a mindset. That’s a positive mindset, the right mindset to move forward and take on big projects that come with making these long lasting life changes for the better you’re doing the work right now, you are listening to this podcast. So that is part of you’re finding the resources you need.

(26:55):

You, you also need a support system. Do you need to find a course? Do you need to watch a video, uh, how to do something? A video, of course, a coach with instructions to do these things and how you’re gonna have success with this. Because some of these things are hard things you don’t have experience with this. This is not in your realm of knowledge of things that come easy to you. You haven’t gone to school and studied, and we’re given a pamphlet or the instruction manual on how to figure this out. But you’re, you have things that are causing you, frustration that are making you feel overwhelmed. So now we have to find the solution. You you’re doing the homework for the actual how to make the changes, but what about your mindset? We have to get your mindset, right? Think of those two things as a package deal, whenever you wanna try something new, whenever you wanna make a change.

(27:46):

So instead of saying, clutter’s everywhere, we’ll always have a messy house or something along those lines, change your mindset. And so that would mean change the phrase, change what you’re telling yourself to something along the lines of. I have a plan to deal with clutter and I will get our house organized sooner than later. All you did is you flipped it around. So you are teaching your mind that you’ve got this. This is under control. You have a plan. And this plan is in motion. You have a good mindset and this negative self talk, isn’t going to hold you back. Let’s let me think of another example. So instead of saying something like, I never have time to work out, I’ll always be fat. Say something like getting in 30 minutes to walk on the weekdays is really helping me to live a healthier lifestyle.

(28:39):

You’re going on the walk, you’re doing something so simple that is making you healthier than if you weren’t doing that. Recognize those little things that you’re doing. It’s like the attitude of gratitude. Be thankful for the 30 minute walks. It’s not an hour in the gym, but it is doing something to contribute to your health and your overall wellbeing in a positive way, switch things around so that they’re positive instead of negative. Let them boost you up. Be grateful for what you’re getting to do instead of staying in that stuck place and bring you down. Let’s let me think. Uh, another one. Okay. So like, uh, so in my mind it popped up like stuff with like kids in school and all that. So if you’re annoyed with all the stuff that is coming home from school and the time that’s taking, instead of the phrase, like these projects are a waste of time, your teacher’s just giving you all this busy work, instead of saying something like that.

(29:38):

And that’s not even in your head because you’re probably probably saying that to your kid, you should have a different approach. Stop. Think about it and say something like let’s figure out how to have success with all these projects and get working on them early. You switched it around ma you don’t like the projects. You think it’s a waste of time. It’s busy work, but how do you put a positive spin on that? There’s a reason the teacher is assigning those things. If you weren’t doing them last minute, you probably wouldn’t be frustrated with them. So your solution is let’s work on them early, but having a positive mindset to where you say, let’s see how we can have success with these. You’re putting a positive spin on it. Instead of having this negative overall, like this looming gray cloud over you guys, when you’re working on these projects, what about the whole busy, busy, busy thing that everyone is like, oh, I’m so busy.

(30:33):

So what if, instead of saying like, oh, we’re just too busy. Our family’s just too busy. We’ll never have dinner together as a family again, instead of saying that and putting that negativity out there, what if you changed it to something like we have a lot going on in this season of life, or we have a lot going on this semester of school and I’m grateful for all of our morning conversations while eating breakfast, just because you’re just, you’re not having dinner together for these few weeks or these few months on a regular basis. What are you doing? When are you having that connection time, be grateful for that time to connect. You have four kids. And you’re saying you’re not having dinner together because the six of you, aren’t at dinner together every single day of the week. That’s probably not realistic and busy seasons of life when kids have activities and things outside of the home and outside of school hours.

(31:30):

But if three of your kids are there on one night and one is there on another night, what can you do to change it? So that you’re grateful for the one on one time with that child, when the other three are busy, or you’re grateful that some of the kids are available for dinner on these nights, it doesn’t have to be everyone. It’s not all or nothing. If you are living your life with all or nothing, you have to get out of that. You have to leave that behind because you wanna have peace. You want to feel good. And if you’re in the all or nothing mindset, you’re stuck. You have to find the good, because even in the worst situations, you can find something to be hopeful for. I know this, I have done it in my own life over many, many years. Something to keep you moving forward is this positivity.

(32:21):

You wanna move forward. You have to do this to accomplish the things that you desire, these things that you want, aren’t going to happen. If you stay in that stuck icky place, the thoughts in your head, the things you’re saying to yourself could be only in your head could also be out loud. Those are keeping you stuck. It’s the soundtrack of your life playing over and over again. It’s on repeat and it’s keeping you stuck. So you have to get outta that. Today is the last day you are staying in the stock. You’re listening to this episode, you’re going to stop the negativity. Today is the day you flip to the script on the thoughts in your head that are holding you back. These negative thoughts are holding you back. So moving forward, I want you to find the solution. You’re gonna have a problem solving mentality to change this thoughts that are going through the head, your head, and stop thinking this negative way and putting yourself down all the time.

(33:16):

So when you find yourself thinking these negative things, stop and take a deep breath and rephrase, rephrase, rephrase what you’re thinking. Change the narrative. You’re telling yourself if the papers are coming home from school and piling up all over your kitchen counter, they’re making a mess. It’s making you crazy. Instead of getting all worked up about that in a negative head space, change your thought, change your thought to something positive. Think gratitude. Remember I said, attitude or gratitude. Think that way your new thought would be something along the lines of I’m so glad. Riley has a teacher that incorporates art into academics. This year, she’s going to have a great school year. You just flipped it around. You took a negative and you made it positive. And then with that, you’re going to make a plan to deal with the papers. Go listen to episode 77, that just came out a couple days ago.

(34:15):

That will give you all the solutions you need for the papers and projects and like school papers and clutter that comes home with the kids episode 77. I have a bunch of info in there where you can learn what to do with those papers. You flip the thought around, went from negative positive, and then you take action with some kind of a plan. And if you don’t know the plan, you find the resources. I just gave you the resources by giving you a podcast episode. And again, those resources could be many things. You find the resources you need to conquer that problem, that issue whatever’s holding you back. You can do this with every scenario where the conversation in your head or the words you’re telling yourself are not serving you because you have to remember. The easy thing to do is criticize. The easy thing to do is be judgment.

(35:07):

The easy thing to do is gossip, but the changes and the long term life changing growth is the long game. That’s what you want. You want the positivity to be result and happen for many, many years to come. It takes more effort upfront, but the payoff is more time with your family. More time for yourself, more peace, more sanity, more happy memories, and a better version of yourself all over. So when you combine a positive growth mindset with actionable steps, you’re going to give yourself the gift to be able to persevere and to conquer these challenges and to put it into these frustrations. You have a plan in place. You conquer it, you move on this. Episode’s getting long. So I wanna wrap it up. And as always, I’m so happy to have you here. I want to answer your questions and I want to help you come up with solutions to your home and your life struggles all always, if you wanna work with me one on one, you can book a coaching session.

All that we can come up with a game plan for you for better systems and routines. We can get your home dialed in. We can put in a place to purge and get your home organized for good. If you wanna work on your own in a self-paced structure and you don’t wanna do the coaching thing, you like the self-paced idea, better with everything you need to purge unwanted items. Learn exactly how to organize, move through every room in your house. With examples specific to every single room, each individual room and clear the clutter and learn how to set up systems and routines that make daily life easier.

(37:04):

I have an exciting announcement for you in the next couple of weeks or two, and I will have an option for you to move through your entire home and finally get rid of all the clutter purge, get organized and set up systems and routines that will truly simplify your life. That’s coming soon. So in the next couple of podcasts, I’ll let you know more about that. Thank you for listening. Remember to identify what you are telling yourself, think about how you’re talking to yourself and flip the script on the thoughts that are negative. Turn those around into problem solving positive thoughts. You can always stop and take a deep breath. You can rephrase any thought that comes to mind. Once you start doing this, you will notice the things that you say that are negative to yourself. The negative thoughts that are happening in your mind, maybe you’re even saying things out loud or making excuses when other people are around.

(38:00):

And the more you stop in that moment, rephrase the thought, rephrase the statement to something that is positive. You will see a reduction and you will notice a reduction in how often you say these negative things to yourself, a positive growth mindset and the right tools for you to have this action plan, to solve any problems and conquer the chaos. That’s a powerful combination to get you to the simplified, organized life you wanna be living. And I want to help you get there. Thank you so much for listening to this episode of the intentional edit podcast. I will meet you back here next week for another episode.
