I’m often receiving the same questions and I know that if some of you are asking then there are others that want to know the answers but never ask. In an effort to get the most common questions answered I host this Q & A blog series. This is the 7th post of the series. All other Q&A posts are here.
Do you really keep your clothes organized by color or by season or style?
Yes, yes and yes! I organize my closet in 2 main areas. I have one side for warm weather and one for cooler weather. I don’t put away and store out of season clothing because I have enough space to keep it separate in my closet – I don’t pull from every rack or drawer all year. Within each area I categorize and color code each category. For example, in summer I have tank tops color coded in a separate section than short sleeve shirts.

Is it better to keep spoons and spatulas on the counter or in a drawer?
This question is personal preference and there is really not a correct or incorrect answer. I have had mine in a drawer and on the counter in a utensil holder – different kitchen layouts and sizes require different organization solutions.
I prefer to have as few things on the counter as possible so if you have the drawer space and prefer a more minimal clean look then keep them in a drawer next to the stove. If you are short on drawer space a utensil holder can keep them organized and easily accessible. Do what works best for your individual situation and always remember to purge what you are not using.
